Moisture attracts Rain clouds: Coastal Lagoon will help us!!

Writer's picture: AARDEAARDE

Yes, coastal lagoon like Pulicat, Kaliveli, Pallikaranai and Salt-Lake are the most important wetlands that attracts rain clouds to this Coromandel coast. Saving Pulicat is important survival strategy for Chennai.

The forty years of cyclone data collected by IIT-Kharagpur proves that the Northeast monsoon get attracted to Coromandel coast during Oct-Dec month only by the presence of wetlands. It is typically like our culture of inviting bride and groom to our home with dristhi திருஷ்டி (water and kumkum)
